Supporting the Eczema Community, One Wrap at a Time

When our first son was diagnosed with eczema, it didn’t just affect his skin — it affected our whole family.
We watched him struggle with relentless itchiness, discomfort, and broken sleep. We tried every cream, every bath soak, every piece of advice. The nights were long, the tears were real, and the feeling of helplessness as parents was overwhelming.

Eczema isn’t just a skin condition — it’s something that can impact every part of daily life. From disrupted sleep and emotional stress, to the constant search for clothing, products, and fabrics that won’t cause flare-ups… it becomes a part of everything.

I became the mum who read every single label — not out of obsession, but out of love and necessity. Every decision, no matter how small, became about protecting his skin. From detergents and lotions to clothing and bedding, I scrutinised everything that touched him. I vacuumed everything — the floors, the couch, even the bed — sometimes multiple times a day, trying to keep dust and triggers at bay. I spent endless hours researching eczema, which also included fabrics, and products to find what would be safest and most soothing. Even food became part of the equation. We cut out gluten, adjusted recipes, rethought everyday meals — at home, at cafes, even at birthday parties. I thought about his skin with every grocery shop, every load of washing, every picnic. Eczema didn’t just change what we used — it changed how we lived. It shaped how we parented, how we planned, and how we showed up for each other as a family. It taught us just how important gentle, breathable, non-irritating materials really are.

Through that journey, we learned so much — especially about the importance of choosing natural fibres and removing anything that could trigger a reaction. We also discovered the value of low-tox living, and how much a calm, supportive approach can do to ease the stress eczema brings.

So when we created Douillet Baby, it wasn’t just about making a beautiful baby wrap.
It was about making something we wished we had in those early days:
A product that was truly soft enough for delicate skin, made with 100% TENCEL™ Modal, and kind to both baby and the planet.

To honour our story — and support the many families still in the thick of theirs — we’re giving back.

In Australia, studies estimate about 20% of children experience eczema at some point in childhood- that’s one fifth! For every wrap sold, we proudly donate to the Eczema Association of Australasia, helping other parents feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Because if you know eczema, you know:
When your baby’s skin hurts, everyone feels it.
And when you find something that soothes — even just a little —
It changes everything.
